Yes. Reading Help, LLC provides a Certified Academic Language Practitioner (CALP) through the Academic Language Therapy Association (www.altaread.org), which screens and certifies dyslexia professionals nationwide.
Reading Help, LLC, utilizes Sounds in Syllables: Multisensory, Structured Language Therapy (SIS), an Orton-Gillingham-based approach that focuses on the individual building blocks of language, first in isolation (sound and symbol associations) and then together to create syllables, words, phrases, and sentences. While results will vary, this step-by-step approach has been effective for some of the most severely dyslexic students, as well as some post-stroke patients.
Language intervention through Reading Help, LLC is billed and paid privately. Some families are able to find sponsors or scholarships to help pay for their student's services. Ultimately, it is the responsible party's obligation to pay accurately and timely (a parent if the student is a child, or the student themselves if an adult).
Language intervention sessions are typically 45 to 55 minutes each, 4-5 times per week.
Every student is different; some students may take 2 years to complete all levels (I-V), while others may take slightly shorter or much longer. A student's abilities, other diagnoses (in addition to dyslexia), and unforeseen circumstances can all affect a student's pace. Since language intervention is student-specific, a student will progress at the quickest speed they are able while still maintaining accuracy.
